Dr. Philip Dalton

Dr Philip Dalton has a comprehensive background in orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine.
He initially trained as a physiotherapist and completed a Masters Degree in muscle physiology followed by a Medical Degree and Orthopaedic Surgical training. Dr Dalton completed his undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Queensland before travelling to the United Kingdom in 2005 to complete fellowships in knee and hip surgery. On his return to Brisbane in 2006 he was appointed Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at the QEII Jubilee Hospital.
Dr Dalton have been in private practice as an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2007. My main rooms are in the Ramsay Specialist Centre at Greenslopes Private Hospital where I consult and operate each week. I still hold a public appointment as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at the QEII Jubilee Hospital and I hold a position of Senior Lecturer within the University of Queensland. I am a member of the Australian Medical Associaiton, a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA).
Dr Dalton's main clinical interests include knee, hip and shoulder surgery and sports injuries. I cover trauma as part of an on-call roster through the Greenslopes Private Hospital. I also perform Medico-legal assessments having been certified as an independent medical examiner (CIME) by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME).
